EnergiePlus is pure salmon oil with 5.0% free fatty acids (FFA). It is highly purified and tailored to the nutritional needs of koi. It is free from preservatives and has a shelf life of two years. It is rich in vitamins and animal fats, which are digested most quickly by koi in spring and autumn.
You can use it to enrich your winter feed; when digested, the koi immediately convert it into energy. Vegetable fats contained in the feed cannot be absorbed by the koi at low temperatures. However, the koi can only use their existing body fat if they move around sufficiently. This is not possible in cold temperatures and during the resting phase. Fatty food enriched with animal fat helps here. Koi can digest this fat and convert it into energy. The result is that you can feed your fish small amounts as long as they are moving, because movement consumes energy, which is then replenished.
Experience has shown that sinking feed enriched with EnergyPlus ensures an optimal supply for your koi even at low temperatures down to 6°C. You can also use EnergyPlus to seal your refined feed.

Add two tablespoons of EnergiePlus to 100g of feed. Allow EnergiePlus to soak into the food (approx. 30 minutes). This mixture can be stored in the refrigerator for at least 14 days. You can also use EnergiePlus to seal your food. If you add EnergiePlus to the food after Provivit-1, EnergiePlus will prevent the vitamins from leaching into the pond water. A slight fogging of the water surface is normal and will dissipate after a short time.
