Original Hel-X® 17 KLL has proven itself over the season, which is why we are continuing to offer this pond filter material in our range. Hel-X® 17 KLL filter media has excellent properties and, as a floating bed medium, is a useful alternative in biological filters. Hel-X® 17 KLL filter media can also be used in drum filters or filter pumps, as it is a high-performance plastic filler.
Hel-X® 17 KLL filter media ensures good water quality in your pond with the highest possible degradation performance in nitrification. Hel-X® 17 KLL filter media is therefore very well suited for the degradation of ammonium and nitrite in the final filter chamber (clear water) and, due to its constant movement, does not require cleaning or replacement. Hel-X® 17 KLL pond filter material can also be used for biological wastewater treatment.
Please note: Hel-X® 17 KLL filter media must float freely and cannot be stored in a filter media bag.
White Hel-X is made from new and pure granulate, while black Hel-X is made from recycled granulate. With white Hel-X, colonised bacteria cultures become visible more quickly due to the discolouration of the white material.

Hel-X® 17 KLL is particularly effective when used with a drum filter. This filter medium is ideal for performing the biological part of the filtration process. Hel-X® 17 KLL is also very well suited for the reduction of ammonium and nitrite in the final filter chamber (clear water) and, thanks to its constant movement, requires no cleaning and does not need to be replaced.
