time to time We asked Hokovit to develop a koi feed that would strengthen the immune system of koi in the long term and help our koi to cope with the difficult environmental conditions in the pond and the constantly changing temperatures in a natural way. We are convinced of the micronutrients from Hokovit. Very much so, in fact. That is why we mix a high proportion into our Tri Koi® Premium feed and an even higher proportion into Kenko® Power feed. For several years now, we have also been offering Koi Guard micronutrients in powder form. However, many customers find it too cumbersome to refresh the feed with it, add oil and let it take effect. We make it easier for you. With Kenko Extra, we now present a feed that is unrivalled far and wide. You get an immunomodulator that builds up the koi's immune system and, with regular use, maintains it at a very high level.
By administering Kenko Extra, you will develop a functioning immune system and unprecedented resistance to all kinds of diseases in no time.
We have succeeded in pressing the micronutrient Koi Guard into pellet form. A small amount of wheat ingredients helps to serve as a carrier for the micronutrients. If the micronutrients were pressed on their own, the pellets would not be stable. You can offer these treats with any food, except Kenko® Power. This is because it already contains so many micronutrients that adding more seems unnecessary.
Feed the treats by hand so that you can see whether every koi has received some and you don't lose any of this gem in your filter/skimmer. The advantage of these pellets is that the ingredients and nutrients do not immediately dissolve in the water, as is the case with (comparable) products.
If you take a closer look at the manufacturer (Alpha CH 31265), you will inevitably come across the exclusive micronutrient complex KOI GUARD®. This substance is contained in all of our Hokovit feed varieties.

Feed Kenko Extra instead of your normal food four times a year for five days, with breaks of at least two months. Be sure to feed Kenko Extra shortly before and shortly after the winter period.
Due to our high consumption, you will always receive this feed in a completely fresh state.
With the new feed varieties that we are adding to our range this year, we felt compelled to change our feed quality grades. Of course, we could have come up with some fancy names and superlatives, but we took a more practical approach. We name the quality grades according to the classification of our koi. All the koi we offer you are divided into different qualities. And we now apply these quality levels to the feed as well: show quality – tategoi quality – standard quality – special feed. Everyone knows which fish swim in their pond. So from now on, everyone can orient themselves according to the qualities. Like the koi, so the feed.
