Buy koi with our modern husbandry conditions for healthy fish

We have a total of 20 tanks with a water volume of approx. 80,000 litres. Each tank has its own water circulation system, its own double air supply and its own safety system. The power supply is alarm-protected so that we can intervene immediately in the event of a fault. A minimum number of these tanks are always reserved for the quarantine of newly arrived koi. This means that the koi you purchase are placed in a separate tank and undergo quarantine there. This way, you can be sure that you are buying healthy koi.

Buying koi: Personal support during quarantine

During quarantine, you are of course welcome to visit the koi you have purchased from us and check on its well-being. Please make an appointment with us so that we can set aside some time for you.

When you buy koi from us, you will receive fish from different breeders (Aoki, Dainichi, Hiroi, Isa, Ikarashi, Izumiya, Kase, Maruhiro, Marusei, Shinoda, Suda, Sakazume, Tanaka, Taniguchi, Yagenji, Yamasan), of various qualities (standard and tategoi) and varieties (Aka Matsuba, Doitsu, Hi Utsuri, Karashi, Ki Matsuba, Kin Matsuba, Ki Utsuri, Kohaku, Kujaku, Mukashi Ogon, Ochiba, Orenji, Sanke, Shiro Utsuri, Showa, Shusui, Soragoi, Yamabuki) as well as different ages and sizes.

Buying koi: Beautiful Butterfly Tosai also available

We also stock very beautiful Butterfly Tosai from Suda. If you would like to buy such exceptional koi, these long-finned koi are a real eye-catcher in the garden pond.

Explanation: Tosai = one-year-old, Jumbo Tosai = large one-year-old, Nisai = two-year-old, Sansai = three-year-old, Yonsai = four-year-old, Jumbo = four-year-old or older, Tategoi = koi of very good quality.

How many koi do you need to keep at least?

Koi carp are sociable animals that feel most comfortable in groups. Anyone who decides to keep koi in their own garden pond should therefore be aware that keeping these magnificent fish on their own is not species-appropriate. At least six to eight koi should be kept together so that they can express their natural social behaviour.

Caring for koi properly: how to keep your pond alive

Proper care is crucial to keeping your koi healthy. A well-planned pond with sufficient water depth (at least 1.5 metres) provides the animals with a stable environment in which they can thrive all year round. Pay particular attention to a powerful filter system that removes pollutants from the water, as well as regular monitoring of water values such as pH, ammonia and nitrite. A balanced diet with high-quality koi food promotes growth, colour intensity and the immune system of your koi.
