Heating rods with 300 or 600 watts (ice preventers), the ideal aid for keeping a hole in a pond free of ice.
This is a heating rod that is suspended in the water. The device is break-proof and equipped with a 10 m cable. Of course, this device has been built in accordance with VDE regulations. It is characterised by its long service life, ease of use and reliability.
The Schego pond heater keeps an area of the garden pond free of ice even in severe frost, allowing foul gases to escape and gas exchange to take place. The size of the ice-free area depends on the selected wattage and the ambient temperature. It is independent of the size of the pond. Due to the limited local heating and the silent operation of the pond heater, the natural rhythm of life of the pond inhabitants is not disturbed.
