In spring, all the mistakes of the previous year come back to haunt you. It is crucial to prepare the koi pond well in order to avoid diseases and other problems.
- Why is
the temperature range between 10 and 15 °C critical for koi?
- What
influence does water temperature have on pathogens, the immune system and
digestion of koi, as well as on filter bacteria

treating diseases and parasites?

adding salt to the pond water a sensible measure?
Regular water changes are crucial for maintaining water quality. At higher temperatures, water changes should be adjusted accordingly .
The feeding of koi should be adjusted to the water temperature. Which food is ideal for koi when water temperatures rise?
Be careful when introducing new koi to the pond, as they can bring new bacteria and new pathogens with them.
Other key points include monitoring water values, maintaining the UVC lamp, combating thread algae and treating cloudy water in spring.
Each participant will receive all the slides shown as a handout.
