The water that is sucked in is first passed through a sealable pre-filter bag to catch leaves, algae, twigs, stones, substrate, etc. This bag is very easy to remove and can be opened easily for cleaning with a coarse-toothed zip.
The water that passes through the filter bag is drained by the internal submersible pump, e.g. into the sewer system. If water loss is undesirable, the water can be pumped to a finer filter (e.g. a screen filter, drum filter or fleece filter).
A standard 32 or 38 mm Poolflex hose can be used as a drain hose! This makes it very easy and affordable to work with drain hoses of your own chosen length!
Thanks to the 1200 watt suction turbine, suction can be achieved at depths of up to 2 metres.
