Only 3 connections need to be made to the entire filter set.
1x110mm from the pond through a skimmer or floor drain, 1x63mm for the water return and 1x50mm for the dirt drain to backwash the dirt.
You should protect the blower from moisture with the optional ball valve. That way, you can be on the safe side.
