pH Plus is used to raise low pH values (below 6.5 pH) in garden ponds. Keep your pH value stable to avoid a drop in acidity.
The ideal pH value is between 6.5 and 8.0.
Excessively low pH values and insufficient acid-binding capacity often cause acid damage to fish and plants. The decisive factor here is the carbonate hardness. With a carbonate hardness of less than 6° KH, there is no longer sufficient acid-binding capacity and the pH value can fall well below pH 5. Set the carbonate hardness to a value of 8° KH.
A drop in pH can result in the loss of all animals in the pond. Keep your pH value within a range of 6.5 to 8.0 and check these values regularly. By breaking down pollutants, the bacteria in the filter produce CO2, which in turn breaks down carbonates. Regular monitoring
of the carbonate hardness and pH value with an increase in this hardness is therefore necessary.
Monday to Friday: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Application: First determine the carbonate hardness. If the carbonate hardness is below 7° KH, there is insufficient acid binding capacity and it should be increased.
Dosage: For a carbonate hardness of at least 8° KH, add 100 g of pH Plus per 10 m³ of pond water. This will raise the pH value by 0.1. Only adjust the pH value over several days so that fish and plants can adapt to the changed water values.
Be careful with the dosage and measure it accurately. Wait long enough before adding another dose to give the water time to mix completely.
