Propolis is referred to as a natural antibiotic. Scientific research has shown that propolis is capable of killing bacteria internally and externally that were already resistant to most antibiotics. A protective effect against viruses has also been observed.

The liver-detoxifying properties of propolis are particularly important in the care of our koi, especially when we consider antibiotic treatments and the often careless handling of stale and spoiled feed. To further enhance the effect of propolis, we have added a well-known and effective product for the treatment and regeneration of liver damage (silymarin).

Wound-healing properties through stimulation and promotion of tissue regeneration, as well as the formation of antibodies and strengthening of the immune system, have been proven. A variety of minerals and trace elements play an essential and often indispensable role in metabolism and cells. Important vitamins, amino acids, flavonoids and polysaccharides underline the high value for the health of your koi.

Royal jelly, known as queen bee juice, supports the positive functions of propolis already described and supplements this with a wealth of other vitalising properties. Royal jelly is incorporated in stabilised (lyophilised) form and increases oxygen uptake in the tissue, increases resistance to cold, increases appetite, promotes metabolism and contains antibacterial and antiviral factors.

We recommend applying propolis as a carrier emulsion and adhesive base for our feed additives to a daily ration of pellets 2-3 times a week. The pellets moistened with propolis are coated with our specially prepared additives spirulina, krill, garlic ginseng, insectus or pollen and cannot be washed off. The koi thus absorb the propolis emulsion and feed additives in full concentration.

Prevention is better than cure

Under this slogan, Koi Solutions has put together a whole range of products to guarantee optimal care for koi. A natural, healthy diet eliminates most homemade problems. The natural ingredients are prepared in such a way that they coat the moistened feed pellets, whether sinking or floating, and do not wash off in the water. 1/4 litre of pellets thus retain the nutritional value of a whole litre.
