For up to 650 litres: you set the desired temperature and the controller heats the tank to exactly that temperature.
If, after setting the switch-on/switch-off temperature (heating), the actual temperature is within the temperature window (e.g. the relay is to switch on when the temperature falls below 20°C and switch off again at 25°C, and the current temperature is 23°C), the relay does not activate. Only when the temperature falls below 20°C does the relay switch on and switch off again when 25°C is reached. The reverse also applies in the "cooling" range.
