Thread Algae Stop is temperature-independent and can be used at any time.
This product contains a mixture of various minerals and microorganisms. These cause the growth of algae to stop and disappear completely after approx. 4 weeks. The added organisms break down the decomposed algae on a natural basis (please do not confuse this with bacteria that are supposed to break down sludge). The algae do not die suddenly, so the filter does not become completely dirty, as is the case with other algae control products. Fadenalgenstop comes in a fabric bag that you simply hang in the water flow (filter, stream).
The effect can last up to 4 months and depends on water changes and UV radiation. (The manufacturer recommends switching off the UV lamp so that the microorganisms are not damaged). If you notice a decrease in effectiveness, replace the bag with a new one. Always use all the bags in the packaging at the same time.
Active ingredient: 1N-(1,1-dimethylethyl)-N-ethyl-6-(methylthio)-1,3,5-trazine- 2,4-diamine (6.40 mg/kg)

Fadenalgenstop is completely harmless to your fish, but can reduce the growth of water lilies and plants. If your plants are important to you, you should not use this product and switch to one of our other thread algae treatments.

Please hang the number of fabric bags required for your pond size in the current (filter, stream). The packaging units are calculated for the specified pond volumes. Always use all bags in the packaging units at the same time. If you do not have a current in your pond, you can also spread the product on the pond surface with a watering can. Slight overdoses are harmless and are even recommended in cases of heavy algae growth.
If there are water lilies in the pond, the following dosage instructions apply:
Add the amount required for your water volume in 3 portions at intervals of approx. 8 days each to avoid rare damage to the water lilies.
Example with water lilies: Pond volume: 10,000 litres Recommended dose: 150 g
Day 1: 50 g
Day 8: 50 g
Day 15: 50 g
