Bypass to EconoBead® 40/50 (50 mm x 1 1/2") Valterra gate valve
This bypass is connected directly to the Econobeads® 6-way valve and reduces pressure loss by 30%. During filter operation, the water no longer flows through the narrow 6-way valve. This also allows energy-saving pumps to be used.
The manufacturer offers a bypass for all EconoBead filters. This must be purchased separately. This enables the use of energy-saving pumps. The 6-way valve is bypassed during filtration, so that the water flows directly into and out of the filter. During flushing, the gate valves are closed and the water flows through the 6-way valve. Thanks to its threaded couplings, the bypass system is very easy to install on all bead filters.
The inlet and outlet are designed for 50 mm on the small EB40 and EB50 models and 63 mm on the EB60, EB100 and EB140 models.
Please note that there are also EB60 models with 50 mm connections.
