The Mountain Tree bacteria house is an excellent filter medium.
Its spiral shape allows water to flow perfectly around and through the medium.
With 4303 m²/l, the porous surface offers a huge settlement area for the cultivation of bacteria.
This filter medium is modelled on the spiral shape of a lotus root. It is made of ceramic with mineral ingredients, which are also released into the water.
The special shape with additional holes in the centre ensures perfect water flow.
The porous surface with a huge colonisation area of 4303 m²/l offers filtration bacteria plenty of space in a small area.
Micro-holes support the formation and cultivation of aerobic nitrifying bacteria.
- 80% water absorption certifies maximum media filter efficiency.
- The media not only emit far-infrared rays, but also high anion values (up to 400 per cm³ on average). This makes the water more vibrant and boosts the immune system and colouring of the fish.

Available in a small version with 24 pieces (length 16.5 cm, Ø4cm) and a large version with 15 pieces (length 25 cm, Ø8cm).

Completely submerged in the chamber filter or sprinkled in the trickle filter: both variants offer optimal biological filtration with this filter medium.
You can also hang the 8 x 25 cm bacteria houses with the hanging hooks like filter brushes. Hanging the bacteria houses allows water to flow through them more easily. This prevents blockages and dirt deposits.
