The affordable alternative to the Ultrabead filter.
This filter can only be used with a pre-filter and is sufficient for a pond size of 10m³ with a high fish population.
The EconoBead filter series is the affordable alternative to Ultrabead and is preferably used in indoor tanks.
The advantages of this filter are:
- Thanks to its closed design, the filter can be installed both above and below pond level, which is made possible by the 6-way valve.
- The filter is equipped with a blower as standard, which produces a huge amount of air for optimal cleaning of the beads.
- With the 6-way valve, you can filter, backwash, bypass (past the filter) and pump out the pond.
- You can install the filter in no time at all.
- The beads have a huge surface area of 1600 m²/m³.
- Delivery includes beads and blower. Important: Bypass must be purchased separately for models 40 and 50.
- Material: Strong PE housing, max. operating pressure 1.2 bar
- The optional standard bypass ensures lower pressure loss and optimum flow (included from model 60 onwards)
- You should protect the blower from moisture with the optional ball valve. This is the safest option.
The filter should be operated with a pressure pump.

The manufacturer offers a bypass for all EconoBead filters. This must be purchased separately (included from model 60 onwards). This enables the use of energy-saving pumps. The 6-way valve is bypassed during filtration so that the water flows directly into and out of the filter. During flushing, the gate valves are closed and the water flows through the 6-way valve. The bypass system is very easy to install on all bead filters thanks to its threaded couplings.
The inlet and outlet are designed for 50 mm on the small EB40 and EB50 models and 63 mm on the EB60, EB100 and EB140 models.
The UVC device must be installed after the filter.
Gravity installation is only possible with a slotted screen in front of it.
